Using a Wacom drawing tablet to create computer graphics is a lot of fun! It is different experience than traditional drawing and painting on paper. Here is one that I made from scratch.

A Cherry Blossom Dragon that I Created Using a Wacom Drawing Tablet

To create these graphics, I use a software called Krita, which offers many brushes and textures for computer drawings/paintings. Krita is a free open source software. You can download Krita for free here.

Another neat feature of Krita (or other computer graphic software) is the layering. Layering the main difference between the computer graphics and the traditional painting/drawing on paper. It requires a different mindset. It took me some time to learn how to layer and the benefit of layering. Layers are handy because you can work on different parts (layers) of your drawing/painting without ruining the other parts (layers) of your creation! Each layer is a standalone piece of a complete picture. Here are some of the layers I created for my Cherry Blossom Dragon.

If creating computer graphics intriges you, I would recommant that you download Krita and get a Wacom drawing tablet. The latest model of my Wacom drawing tablet is this one:ย Wacom Intuos Pro digital graphic drawing tablet for Mac or PC, Large.

Enjoy this fun new way to create drawings/paintings with a computer, whether you are an experienced artist or just a starter!
