We found two picturesque photo spots in Prague. Spot 1: Prague Metronome in Letná Park where we took this picture. Old town is on the left (east) and the Prague Castle area is on the right (west). You can also clearly see three of the bridges.

Prague Bridges

Letná Park is north of the old town across the river.  After a little hike, we started to see a beautiful view of Prague.  There is a giant metronome on top of the hill.  There are shoes tied on the wire attached to the metronome.  We wonder why.

The park itself is quite large.  Heading west, after a quiet and pleasant walk, we reached the Malá Strana area, where the Prague Castle is located. We turned into a beautiful garden and it turned out to be the Czech Senate.  The Castle is right behind the Senate building. It is a beautiful area. It was quite hot though so be prepared if you are going in the summer time. We also got to see some very pretty peacocks roaming around.

Spot 2: Legii Bridge where we took this picture

Prague Charles Bridge

Legii Bridge is south of Charles Bridge.  We got a great view of Charles Bridge and the Prague Castle together. Legii Bridge is a lot less traveled by tourists than Charles Bridge. Along the river is a nice and pleasant recreation area for everyone, including real and human-powered swans. We didn’t try them. I want to go back sometime and try them.

There is also a park on an island in the middle of the river that can be reached through this bridge.  From there, we had a nice view of the National Theatre.

The red roofs, the stone bridge, the white buildings, and the evening rainstorm lighting formed a magical moment of colors.

The St. Vitus Cathedral (left) stands out on the west and the Old Town Bridge Tower (right) stands out on the east.
