I have faced some difficult challenges in Animal Crossing New Horizons. My first, and probably the most difficult, was growing golden roses.
There are two parts to growing golden roses: getting a godeln watering can and growing black roses. With a golden watering can, you can get golden roses by watering black roses with it.
Having no idea how to get a golden watering can, I researched how to get it. I learned that in order to get the golden watering can recipe, I needed to have a five-star island. At the time I had a four-star island and I was proud of it. But I had already “dressed-up” my island a lot (or so I thought) and I had no idea how to make it a five-star island.
I didn’t know what to do except to re-shape the land to make it look nicer when my mom (who is a resident on my island) bought the monster statue and the tea cup ride. That was the final push for our five-star island. I haven’t made the golden watering can yet because I don’t have black roses but I am very excited for when I do.
Flower breeding in Animal Crossing is quite confusing and is a challenge I am struggling with currently. It is difficult to distinguish the hybrid flowers from the common flowers because they look exactly the same and I had to look up a tutorial for it.
The time it takes to actually get the rarer flowers is quite long. My goal right now is to get blue roses. The first step is to breed purple and red roses to get hybrid pink (looks like pink but this one is needed for blue roses), but I had no purple roses, so I had to get those first. The next step was to breed the hybrid pink with the yellow to get hybrid red. Finally, hybrid red and hybrid red can breed together to make blue.
I remember that it took me three or four days to get my white roses to breed to get a purple rose. Currently I am trying to get my red roses and purple rose to breed while getting the red roses to breed for black roses (so confusing!!). It’s been taking forever but I have no choice but to wait.
On a brighter note I managed to pay off my upstairs home loan and now I have a basement which is very exciting! However the loan for the basement is twice as much (more than 2 million bells) and I don’t even know when I can pay that one off. I have started to, but I haven’t really made a dent in it, though I’m not sure what the point of paying it off is since there are no more additions to be made to the house.
