I always enjoy catching fish in Animal Crossing New Horizons. Even to the point where I can predict what fish I am going to catch just by looking at the shadow of it. I’m especially good at telling ocean fish since more expensive fish are in the ocean.
My favorite time to fish is when it is raining. That is when my favorite fish, the coelacanth, comes out. It sells for 15,000 bells and if you are lucky you could get multiple coelacanths.
The best way to tell if a fish is likiely to be one of the big rare fish, like the coelacanth or oarfish, is to look for very large shadows that move slower than the usual dab or sea bass shadows. I have found that the coelacanth is wider rather than longer and the oarfish is the opposite.
