My family and I went to the Kennedy Center to see the Israeli-American violinist, Itzhak Perlman. We enjoyed his playing and he was accompanied by two other players, Pinchas Zukerman who played the violin and viola, and Rohan De Silva who accompanied them on the piano. The music was beautiful and if you ever get the chance to hear Mr. Perlman play, definitely go to the concert. It is an amazing experience. We were not allowed to take pictures during the show so of course there won’t be any pictures of Mr. Perlman.

Arriving at the Kennedy Center a couple of hours before the show, we went up to the Roof Terrace restaurant for dinner. It was very tasty so if you get the chance, go head and try it. After dinner we went outside and had a beautiful view of the Potomac River. We even spotted a water taxi.

We also saw in the distance two landmarks. First was the Washington Monument. Then there was the Air Force Memorial. We also saw some construction being done nearby.

Inside the Kennedy Center, flags of various countries all over the world were hanging above. I have been to some, but there where so many I haven’t been to! We tried naming the ones we could.

Flags Inside of the Kennedy Center

There were lots of chandeliers and other decorations. It was quite beautiful with the windows allowing the sunlight to come through. We went to the concert hall where the concert would take place. It was quite large. There was even a place that you could sit where you could sit behind the performers.

It was quite late when we got out, but it was totally worth it! We loved the music and Itzhak Perlman also played music by composers we had never listened to before. They also entertained the audiences by playing music that was not on the program. The trip was fun and exciting, so if you have the chance, go and listen to Mr. Perlman, or anybody else, play. It is quite enjoyable, and it doesn’t matter where you sit, you will hear the music.

Please check out the wonderful performance of these three accomplished musicians.
