La Serena and Coquimbo beaches was one of my favorite places during my trip to Chile. There are multiple beaches between La Serena and Coquimbo. All together forms a super long, flat, and sandy beach that takes a about a couple hours to walk from one end to the other end.

The La Serena lighthouse is on one end of the beaches. The white and red lighthouse is a well-known landmark of La Serena.

The beaches are very clean. There are life guards to make sure people on the beach are safe. The sand is soft, fine and nice to walk on.

Along the way, I saw shells, seabirds, and breathing holes from critters that live in the sand. I also spotted a skate, who was pushed up by the waves, waiting for the next waves to take him back to the ocean.

These beaches are nice for all kinds of activities. Along the beaches, there is a long sidewalk in between the road and the beach. I saw some people having fun with the rental bikes. Occasionally, I spotted dogs walking or running along side the people. I even saw a fun looking 4-wheeler!

Some people were surfing. Some people were fishing in the middle of the ocean, either on a fishing boat or just standing in the water.

There are plenty of restaurants and food trucks along the beaches for when you are hungry.

There were construction sites along the beaches to further enhance the entertainments.

Do La Serena and Coquimbo beaches sound like the place for you? There are rental houses and apartments. Or, you could even buy your own place!

Why not come to the La Serena and Coquimbo beaches and check the place out yourself?
